another candidate to take on chris christie next year. newark mayor cory booker announced yesterday he will not make a run for governor in 2013. perhaps due in footer christie's soaring approval ratings in the aftermath of hurricane sandy. booker says he's looking into running for senate in 2014 when 88-year-old frank lautenberg is expected to retire. but interestingly enough, lautenberg hasn't made any decisions yet. his office dismissed booker's comments saying the senator is focused on his work adding it's not the time for political distractions. >>> in a rare moment of bipartisanship, democrats and republicans came together yesterday to say farewell to hawaii's daniel inouye. the second longest serving senator in u.s. history. the army veteran who died on monday was honored by having his casket lie in state. that's a privilege that's only been received by 31 other americans ever. vice president joe biden paid tribute to his colleague. >> he was in every sense the quintessential american. he possessed, in my view, every virtue that we like to ascribe to our country. i never met a ma

're traveling to newark or philadelphia, those airports there are also experiencing weather delays anywhere between two hours to three hours. no word yet if it has any effect on sfo flights. if you are heading home for the holidays from the bay area and other parts of country you might want to be prepared to wait because in addition to traveling during the busy season it looks like you're traveling against mother nature and thanks to that winter storm in chicago, aviation officials say more than 350 flights out of o'hare and 450 out of midway were canceled. we are seeing the effects here at home. sfo reps say it's delayed a few flights in the bay area. that's not the only thing that will set back travelers today here. rain is moving into our region so unfortunately, the national weather service says this could make things messy for travelers. but the early bird flyers we spoke to say they are prepared. >> when i go to check in i'm two hours ahead with tickets ready. so if they tell me there's a delay i'll be able to catch another airport. i have three stops on the way home. so i'll hope tim
